- -Gymkhana is a motorsport which
is practiced primarily in the United States, Canada, European and Asian
countries.
- -Small Technical courses are setup and navigated for time and accuracy
using automobiles.

- -This motorsport is used by
recreational/competition motorist who seek to push their car to the
limits and better themselves in the process.
- -Anyone with a coupe/sedan/roadster can participate in this very fun
leisure activity.

these events, you would learn very vital car control in a safe
environment.

motor vehicle’s

- -Sports compact cars are primarily used in this motorsport because they
are easier to manipulate.
- -Front Wheel (FF) Rear Wheel (FR) All Wheel (AWD/4WD) Mid-Ship (MR)
equipped vehicles are all good for the game of Gymkhana. Each vehicle
presents different challenges to master.

- -Because these events will take place on base, each vehicle must be
current on JCI and Insurance.
- -Owners must ensure their cars are
prepared prior to event day.
- - Cars which have a high center of gravity will not be allowed for
safety reasons

- -Events could be held on Saturday or Sunday and Holidays in which
possible locations are vacant.
- -Times of the events can last from
sunrise to
sunset
- -At least 4 drivers would be needed in order to carry out events

- -Possible Timeline
- 0800- Arrive/unload & prep
- 0900- Safety Inspection
- 1000- First Heat
- 1100- Second Heat
- 1200-Lunch
- 1300 to 1600- TBD/Open Runs

- -Events can be run in dry, wet and snow conditions. This will allow
the driver to develop skills for all possible situations faced at Misawa Air
Base thus making the roads we travel daily safer.

all been visited by myself and picked for reasons that I will list.

- -Prior to each event, the course will be mapped. Objects that could be
struck by an out of control vehicle will be taken into consideration.
- -Vehicle Speeds will never exceed 40mph due to short technical courses.

- -In order to mark the course
properly, cones and markers will be needed. If allowed, each
- participant could donate to help pool together
- funds to purchase these items.
- - Another source is old tires from the
- Auto Hobby shop scrap yard.

- - All vehicles that participate will be JCI compliant, however,
vehicle inspections will be conducted before the participant is allowed
to drive on the course.

- -Leaks ( except A/C condenser )
- - Front tires must have at least 70% tread
- - No Cords/Belts Showing on
tires
- -Ball Joints/Hub Assemblies( excessive play no go )
- -Brakes
- -Free revving engine
- - Secure Battery tie

- -Loose Items inside of car
- -Seat Belts

- -No children around idling cars
- -5 mph while inside of paddock area
- -No smoking around open
engine bay
- -No smoking
while driving!
- -No Horse play around moving cars
- -Use of Jack Stands are mandatory!!!

- -Each Driver and Passenger will be
required to have a source of head protection
- -No Open toe shoes
- -Long Sleeves, Long Pants and
gloves will be worn

without chance of rolling)

-Almost everyone will be CLS/SABC certified
- - First aid kits will
available for minor incidents if they occur.
- -At Gymkhana event, the odds of
bodily injury is very
low/non existent.
- -If possible we could have volunteer EMT available.

- There are no downside at all for allowing these events to happen.
People will be learning and applying very advance driving technique that will help
prevent possible car collisions and accidents under abnormal
circumstances.
